Rey Mysterio isnt done stepping into the ring but hes already thinking about what could come next. The 51-year-old WWE Hall of Famer appeared on Cody Rhodes What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast and opened up about his future. While many assumed the Hall of Fame would be his final milestone, Mysterio achieved that honor while still actively competing. Right now, he says hes focused on enjoying the ride especially watching his son Dominik carve out his own legacy. When asked if he has a new goal in mind, Mysterio admitted hes not chasing anything specific anymore. He even shared a surprising detail about Dominiks heel persona. Dominik currently holds major gold across two companies, serving as AAA Mega Champion and WWE Intercontinental Champion. The father-son dynamic has become one of wrestlings most compelling stories, including their tag match confrontation at AAA Guerra de Titanes in December 2025. With WWE now connected to Lucha Libre AAA, Mysterio hinted that a future backstage role with the Mexican promotion could interest him when the time is right. That final line makes it clear retirement isnt imminent. Mysterio is still having fun competing in WWE, but hes also planting seeds for life after the ring. If he does transition into a production or executive role with AAA, it would bring his career full circle, returning to the promotion that launched him into global stardom. Do you think Rey Mysterio should stay active in WWE as long as possible, or would you like to see him help shape AAA behind the scenes next?
