Rusev isnt just thinking about title reigns and dream matches hes thinking about running a city. During his appearance on Chris Van Vliets interview, the former United States Champion revealed that once his in-ring career winds down, he has serious political ambitions back home in Bulgaria. When asked about life after wrestling, Rusev didnt dodge the question. Instead, he laid out a very specific goal. He admitted that becoming mayor of his hometown is something he has genuinely thought about. This isnt just a passing idea. Rusev made it clear that he would be willing to move back and fully commit to the role. Rather than simply relying on fame, he plans to educate himself properly before stepping into politics. Rusev shared that he intends to enroll in school to study public administration so he understands how the system works. For now, though, the ring still comes first. Rusev said he plans to wrestle until age 45 before reassessing his body and future direction. He also noted that physically, he feels better than he has in years thanks to smarter training and recovery habits. If his plan comes together, Rusev could go from WWE Superstar to city mayor a transition few professional wrestlers have attempted.
