Ana Da Silva is trading the shot put circle for the squared circle. The 27-year-old Brazilian Olympic track and field competitor confirmed on Instagram that she has received a WWE tryout and will be heading to Orlando, Florida next week to step inside a WWE ring for the first time. In her post, Da Silva made it clear shes ready for the transition from athletics to sports entertainment. Da Silva represented Brazil at the 2024 Paris Olympics in the womens shot put event, finishing 23rd in the competition. Now, shes aiming for a completely different kind of spotlight. WWE has a long history of recruiting high-level athletes especially from track and field and turning them into in-ring prospects at the Performance Center in Orlando. If the tryout goes well, Da Silva could join the growing list of Olympians whove transitioned into professional wrestling. The move signals another example of WWE looking outside traditional wrestling backgrounds to build its next generation of talent.
