Tensions between the two women have continued to be on the rise over the course of the past several weeks, with Thekla previously unsuccessfully challenging Statlander for her title on the January 28 episode of "Dynamite" in a regular match.Coming off his successful defense against Claudio Castagnoli of The Death Riders and The Conglomeration's Roderick Strong in a Three-Way Match on "AEW Collision" this past Saturday, Tommaso Ciampa will be putting the TNT Championship on the line once again tonight as he defends against The Don Callis Family's Kyle Fletcher. Ciampa became TNT Champion after he dethroned Mark Briscoe on the January 31 episode of "Collision", while Fletcher himself is a former TNT Champion having had a 114 day reign with the title.AEW World Tag Team Champions Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler of FTR will be finding out who their next challengers are, as Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson of The Young Bucks collide with The Rascalz's Dezmond Xavier and Myron Reed and a mystery tag team in a Three-Way Number One Contenders Match. The Young Bucks have been getting back to their roots as of late and made it clear that they had their eye on recapturing tag team gold in a video package from last Wednesday's edition of "Dynamite", while tonight will mark Xavier's first match on "Dynamite" and Reed's first ever time competing in an AEW ring.Additionally, Kenny Omega and Swerve Strickland will be meeting with one another in an interview tonight as they both continue vying for MJF's AEW World Championship, have losses against Andrade El Idolo in singles competition, and met one another in a tense faceoff last Wednesday.We are live! Excalibur and Bryan Danielson greets audiences at home as Tony Schiavone is waiting in the ring to introduce Kenny Omega, Swerve Strickland, and Prince Nana. All three men then makes their way to the ring along.
Schiavone says the fans have noticed the looks and tension between the two men, then says a lot of the tension has come from Strickland. Strickland says he has a lot to get off his chest, then says Omega was on top of the professional wrestling industry 5 years ago when he was the AEW World Champion. He says everyone was scratching and clawing to face Omega including in, then says he got to the top of AEW and became AEW World Champion himself.Strickland asks Omega where he was during his AEW World Championship reign, then says he saw Omega pop up every once in a while and says Omega was nowhere to be found whilst laying in a hospital bed or being suspended. Strickland says Omega marched back into AEW and wanted back into the AEW World Championship picture, then says it feels like Omega is using his EVP power and says he's fought against EVPs for the last two years in The Young Bucks.Omega corrects Strickland by telling him that he never called himself "The God of Professional Wrestling". He says the fans gave him that name, then says he never asked for the fans to forgive him and yet they still did so. He says fans know they will get the best when they see a match of his, then says he takes the beliefs of the fans as a great responsibility. He says he means it when he says he wants to regin as AEW World Champion at the top of the mountain the right way, then says he has a friend who has experience in burning Strickland's house down. Omega says he feels like he's championship material and doesn't need EVP status to do so, then says he's been doing that by getting wins and reminds Strickland that he cost him his match against Andrade El Idolo last Wednesday. He says he's asking for a fight and sees the way Strickland looks at him disrespectfully, then says things between them end now and tells Strickland that he has a match against him if he wants. He tells Strickland to accept or yield.Omega says Brody King is the most dangerous man in AEW right now rather than Strickland, and Strickland says he'll put Omega back in a hospital bed he won't get back out of. Omega then slaps Strickland, and Strickland responds by telling Omega whatever's next is on him. The two men then begin brawling with one another, but Omega grabs a chair as they brawl into the crowd and cracks it across Strickland's back. He throws a garbage can at Strickland, and the pair continue brawling through the crowd as Schiavone takes his place at the commentary desk.Strickland tosses Omega onto the entrance ramp and fires off right hands on his spine, but Omega fires off right hands on Strickland and sends him crashing into the jumbo screen. He lands a V-Trigger on Strickland, then looks to land a One Winged Angel on him off the entrance ramp and through the table. Strickland escapes and spears Omega off the entrance ramp and through the table.The Death Riders then make their way to the ring. The Don Callis Family follow.
PAC and Mark Davis begin the action. The bell rings and the two lock up. Jon Moxley tags in and fires off forearms and chops on Davis in the corner, but Claudio Castagnoli tags in and locks up with Davis. Castagnoli rocks Davis with an uppercut, but Davis fires off chops on Castagnoli and runs him over with a shoulder tackle. Davis then looks to land a vertical suplex on Castagnoli, but Castagnoli lands on his feet and lands a vertical suplex of his own on Davis.Konosuke Takeshita tags in and exchanges right hands with Castagnoli. Takeshita sends Moxley crashing out of the ring as Davis and Josh Alexander go after PAC and Castagnoli respectively. Alexander fires off right hands on Castagnoli's midsection on the outside as Moxley and Takeshita rain down right hands on one another. Alexander and PAC then tag back in, and Alexander lands a splash on PAC in the corner. PAC moves out of the way and looks to fly into the ring from the apron, but Takeshita trips PAC and lands a double chop on him. Alexander then sends PAC crashing off the ring apron with a sliding crossbody to him.Back from the break, Takeshita wears down PAC with a submission hold. Castagnoli fires off uppercuts on Alexander that send him crashing into the corner, then lands running uppercuts on Alexander and Davis in opposite corners. Castagnoli then delivers The Swing to Alexander and catches Davis with a scoop powerslam before he goes for a pin. Davis kicks out.Castagnoli rolls up Davis, but Davis kicks out and levels Castagnoli with a lariat. Takeshita and Moxley tag in, and the pair exchange right hands with one another. Moxley turns Takeshita inside out with a clothesline, but Davis rocks Moxley with an enzuigiri and Alexander lands a German suplex on PAC. Castagnoli runs over Alexander with a big boot before Takeshita drives Moxley into the mat.The Death Riders triple team on Takeshita, but Davis sends Castagnoli crashing into the barricade spine first. Alexander sends PAC crashing into another one of the barricades, and The Don Callis Family fire off stomps on Moxley. Alexander and Davis hold Moxley in place for Takeshita, but Castagnoli catches Takeshita with an uppercut. PAC runs over Davis with a boot and flies over the top rope with a crossbody to level him on the outside. Inside the ring, Moxley wears down Alexander (who has tagged back in) with a sleeper hold. He follows it up with a Death Rider to him for the win.Winners: The Death RidersKyle Fletcher, Lance Archer, and Don Callis then makes their way to the ring.Tommaso Ciampa follows.
The bell rings and Fletcher rolls out of the ring. He locks up with Ciampa when he gets back inside, but Fletcher runs over Ciampa with a shoulder tackle. Ciampa sneaks up behind Fletcher as Fletcher flexes his biceps, but Ciampa rocks Fletcher with a boot to his face. Fletcher then runs over Ciampa with a boot of his own, but Ciampa lands a dropkick on Fletcher's legs and delivers a DDT to him.Fletcher lands an oblique breaker on Ciampa, then connects with a Sidewalk Slam on him and goes for a pin. Ciampa kicks out and runs over Fletcher with a clothesline, then yells at Callis on the outside from in the ring.Ciampa dumps Fletcher out of the ring and sends him crashing into one of the barricades, then lands a running knee on Fletcher before he applauds himself and pats himself on the back. Ciampa then dumps Fletcher into another one of the barricades, but Fletcher catches Ciampa with a Half Nelson Suplex.Back from the break, Ciampa sends Fletcher crashing into the ring steps spine first with an Air Raid Crash. He runs over Fletcher with a knee strike back in the ring and goes for a pin, but Fletcher kicks out and Ciampa levels him with a reverse DDT.Fletcher lands a back suplex on Ciampa, then lands an enzuigiri on him in the corner. He powerbombs Ciampa onto the ring apron and delivers a kick to his chest, then connects with a knee strike on him and follows it up with a Brainbuster. He goes for a pin, but Ciampa kicks out.Ciampa lands a German suplex on Fletcher off the middle rope and pins him, but Fletcher kicks out. Ciampa then exposes his knee, but Fletcher rocks Ciampa with a kick. Ciampa then runs over Fletcher with a knee strike and pins him, but Fletcher manages to kick out and Ciampa connects with a suplex on him as five minutes remain in the match. Fletcher calls for Ciampa to charge at him, but Fletcher delivers a Falcon Arrow to Ciampa and a Brainbuster for the win.Winner (and new): Kyle FletcherAfter the match, Renee Paquette joins Kyle Fletcher in the ring to share a few words. Fletcher says he's happy to bring the TNT Championship back to Australia and issues an Open Challenge to anyone from anywhere who wishes to answer, prompting Mark Briscoe to answer the call. Fletcher accepts Briscoe's answer, but says it'll be in a Ladder Match. He says it'll be The Final Chapter in their story with the winner of the match being the very best.Clark Connors and Daniel Garciathen make their way to the ring. Orange Cassidy and Roderick Strong follow, and Jon Moxley joins the announce desk.
Garcia and Strong begin the action. The bell rings and Garcia fires off stomps on Strong in the corner. Strong sends Garcia crashing into the mat and rains down right hands on him in the corner, then tags in Orange Cassidy. Cassidy pokes Garcia's eye.Back from the break, Cassidy sends Garcia and Connors crashing out of the ring. He looks to tag out to Strong, but Strong hops off the apron and heads to the back leaving Cassidy on his own. Connors takes advantage and blindsides Cassidy from behind. Garcia then tags in and fires off stomps on Cassidy. Connors tags back in and follows suit, then whips Cassidy into the barricade on the outside and charges at him. Cassidy moves out of the way and Connors is sent crashing into the barricade.Darby Allin pops out of the crowd and drags Connors away from ringside. Inside the ring, Cassidy rolls up Garcia for the win.Winners: Orange Cassidy and Roderick StrongAfter the match, Toni Storm and Luther appear in the crowd. Storm says she's made peace with her choices and says Marina Shafir deserves to be knocked out if she pins her at Grand Slam: Australia in front of her friends, family, and former lovers. She promises to shave Shafir's scalp as close to her head as possible should she beat Shafir and looks to address Wheeler Yuta, but Yuta appears on the entrance ramp.Shafir then drags Mina Shirakawa onto the entrance ramp and Yuta cuts a piece of Shirakawa's hair off as Garcia blindsides Cassidy from behind.TheYoung Bucks, The Rascalz, and Private Party then all make their way to the ring, with the latter team revealing themselves as the mystery competitors in the upcoming bout.
Dezmond Xavier and Isiah Kassidy begin the action. The bell rings and the two go back and forth.Marq Quen tags in, and The Young Bucks and Private Party stare one another down. Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson look to land double superkicks on Private Party, but Private Party catch them. Nick then runs over Quen with a shoulder tackle as Matt and Kassidy brawl on the outside, but The Bucks double team on Quen. Xavier rolls up Nick as Myron Reed dumps Matt out of the ring, but Nick kicks out and Reed flies over the top rope to land a dive on Nick on the outside. Xavier then lands a Shooting Star Press off the ropes to take out The Bucks and Private Party on the outside.Back from the break, Matt and Nick ascend up the top rope. Matt lands an elbow drop on Kassidy as Nick lands a senton on Quen and we see HOOK watching the action from a box. Quen rocks Nick with an enzuigiri before Kassidy pins Matt. Xavier breaks the fall, but Kassidy levels Xavier with a DDT. Nick then delivers a Canadian Destroyer to Kassidy, but Xavier lands a reverse hurricanrana on Matt and Reed flies over the top rope to level everyone else on the outside.Reed tags in and ascends to the top rope, then lands a 450 Splash on Matt and goes for a pin. Nick breaks the fall, and The Bucks land a BTE Trigger on Quen. They follow it up with a Meltzer Driver to Reed for the win.Winners (and new Number One Contenders): The Young BucksAfter the match, FTR and Stokely make their way to the ring. FTR begins running their mouths and Dax Harwood calls The Bucks second to himself and Cash Wheeler. The Bucks level FTR and grab the AEW World Tag Team Championship belts, then taunt Stokley by pretending as though they're about to attack him and hand him the belts back.Thekla then makes her way to the ring.
