Home / Football / Premier League News Nottingham Forest: Dyche rejects doubts about job security Forest are just three points above the drop zone. Written by Nicholas McGee Last Update: February 9, 2026 06:56:32 pm GMT 2 min read Nottingham Forest manager Sean Dyche has dismissed talk of him potentially losing his job on the back of their meek defeat at Leeds United. Forest were comfortably second best in a 3-1 loss at Elland Road last Friday. With West Ham winning 2-0 at Burnley a day later, Dyches men are just three points above the relegation zone.Dyche was nominated for the Premier League Manager of the Month award for January, Forests result in West Yorkshire ending a four-game unbeaten run.Forest will head into Wednesdays game with Wolves with their advantage over West Ham erased if the Hammers can stun Manchester United. However, Dyche gave questions about his future at The City Ground short shrift. The ownership have always had contact with me, Dyche said in his pre-match press conference. The owner is well aware, and I made it clear to him, that this was never going to be smooth sailing all the way through. We have seen some hiccups; some good days and not so good days.We came off after the Palace game [a 1-1 draw] and got a really important point. It was a good point following a 10 v 11 situation [after Neco Williams red card] and he [Marinakis] was congratulating me.I dont think over one game it is going to be that extreme where he is suddenly going to say: Right, we need to change everything at the club for a fourth time. You never know. But I am a realist, and he is as well, about the current situation and what we took over here.On the same day I was [nominated for] manager of the month, people are saying I should be sacked. That is a new one on me, and I have been doing this a long time. Topics: Nottingham Forest F.C.
