For anyone still holding out hope for one final Batista match in WWEdont. The Animal himself just ended the conversation once and for all by making it clear his days in the ring are over.
While speaking to Jason Momoa, the Animal was asked by Momoa whether there was any chance hed step back in the ring, as Momoa made it clear he wanted to see Batista wrestle again: Id love to see you go back in there. Batista then just said, No.
Despite that, Jason Momoa still held on to some hope and asked if Batista would consider wrestling one last match, saying, I know its over, but not even one more match? However, the Animal doubled down on his stance and made it very clear that he will never step foot inside the squared circle ever again, as he said, No. Never.
That final never is about as definitive as it gets. Batista last competed at WrestleMania 35 in 2019, where he lost to Triple H in a No Holds Barred match. That bout was promoted as his retirement match, but many continued to speculate about a comebackespecially since hes still a massive presence in pop culture and often mentioned in WWE circles.
The update comes just months after Sean Ross Sapp reported on the Fightful Report that Batistas absence from the WWE Hall of Fame wasnt due to politics or heatbut pure scheduling conflicts.
Between his packed filming schedule and international projects, Batista simply hasnt been able to coordinate a Hall of Fame appearance during WrestleMania weekendthough WWE reportedly still wants to make it happen.
With this latest confirmation, many people finally have to let go of any lingering hope of seeing Batista compete one more time, as its just not going to happen anymore.
Are you surprised Batista shut the door so firmly? Should he still be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame sooneven without an in-ring return? Drop your thoughts in the comments below.
