
CM Punk is officially back on the cover.
During the Royal Rumble 2026 Kickoff Show on January 30, Michael Cole confirmed that CM Punk will be the cover star for WWE 2K26 marking the first time Punk has fronted a WWE video game since WWE 13 more than a decade ago.
The announcement instantly set the internet on fire, as fans had already been speculating about Punks rumored involvement in the games Showcase Mode a popular feature that lets players relive a superstars legendary matches and career-defining moments. According to earlier reports from Dealabs Magazine, Punk was expected to be the centerpiece of Showcase this year, allowing players to play through major beats of his career.
The game is reportedly slated for release on Friday, March 13, 2026 just weeks before WrestleMania and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and even the Nintendo Switch 2. No confirmation yet on whether itll also launch on PS4 or Xbox One.
With pre-orders expected to open on the same day as the announcement, fans can expect more official details to drop imminently.
