CJ Perry just dropped a wild confessionand it involves getting arrested, going to jail for three days, and coming out of it with a whole new perspective.
Speaking on the January 29, 2026 episode of Inside the Ring, Perry was asked what she had been arrested for. What followed was an eye-opening confession about a mistake that became a turning point in her life: Oh my God, this is a crazy story. Ive actually never said this publicly. For sure.
She explained that the incident happened when she was 25, living in Atlanta, and on her way to re-audition for school at Florida State. It was her birthdayand she admitted she was being reckless. When police pulled her over and said they smelled weed, Perry didnt try to lie.
She was immediately taken into custodyand to make matters worse, she was far from home. But what truly shaped her wasnt just the arrestit was what her parents did next. Instead of rushing to bail her out, they let her sit there for three days.
According to Perry, that tough love changed her life forever. Being locked up gave her perspective. She reflected on how even simple things like stepping outside became powerful in that moment.
Perry said if her parents had bailed her out immediately, the lesson wouldnt have hit the same. And that jail experience, painful as it was, came full circle three years lateron the same date. For Perry, that felt like more than a coincidence, as she signed with WWE.
From getting arrested on her birthday to landing a WWE contract exactly three years later, CJ Perry turned one of her lowest moments into something transformativeand isnt afraid to own it now.
