AEW has been the subject of many controversies over the years. This includes the fact that their fans, and staff, can sometimes take things a bit too far. Now we may have another story about that.
Nick LoPiccolo logged onto X today, where he sent out a very direct post. His X account was back and fully functional after it was locked, and he wasnt going to stay silent.
LoPiccolo called out what he believes was a Tony Khan burner account and claimed it had inside information, connections, and the same enemies as Khan. This account simply went by the name Ron. LoPiccolo also tied the situation to his own X account getting suspended shortly after he tagged NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.
It isnt the first time someone affiliated with AEW has been accused of running a sock puppet X account. AEW referee Aubrey Edwards was called out in the past for filing DMCA claims under a fake burner name.
Nick LoPiccolo sent another post out to let everyone know that this account has been deleted. He also asked fans to post screenshots of those tweets. Tony Khan has not responded to this accusation of running a fake account.
This was not the first time LoPiccolo has aimed directly at AEW and Tony Khan online. This is just the latest chapter in what has become a trend.
Nick LoPiccolo has been the victim of accounts attacking him and attempting to spread damaging claims about him. LoPiccolo claimed that Tony Khan retaliated against him after he criticized AEWs deal with WBD.
LoPiccolo also said that AEW was linked to a harassment campaign aimed at his 5-year-old daughter. We will have to see if this Ron account pops up again, or the person behind it comes to light.
