Mick Foley is doubling down on his stance against Donald Trumpand a new Instagram Story proves hes not letting up.
The WWE Hall of Famer took to his Instagram Story on January 23, 2026 and reacted to reports that the Trump administration ordered the removal of slave history exhibits from the Presidents House site in Philadelphia, a move many have called an attempt to whitewash American history. Foley didnt hold back in his Instagram post, where he shared his disgust with Trumps decision:
This is just the latest chapter in Foleys increasingly vocal opposition to Trump. His stance has already come at a personal cost. In December 2025, Foley publicly severed ties with WWEwhere hes long held a Legends contractover what he viewed as the companys refusal to distance itself from Trump. That decision came after Trump posted a cruel Truth Social eulogy for director Rob Reiner and his wife Michele following their tragic murder, mocking Reiners politics.
Foley responded to Trumps post by reposting musician Jack Whites blistering condemnation of Trump and adding his own message aimed at the WWE locker room:
The next day, Foley made his break with WWE, announcing on social media that he had informed WWEs talent relations department that he would not make any appearances for the company while Trump is in office, and that he would not renew his Legends contract when it expires in June 2026.
Despite walking away from a legacy relationship with WWE, Foley made sure fans knew he wasnt trying to erase his own past:
In a follow-up interview with Orlando Weekly on January 6, 2026, Foley admitted that speaking out had alienated some longtime fans, but said hes willing to deal with that fallout.
Whether you agree with him or not, Foleys not backing down. Hes putting principle ahead of popularityand in todays wrestling world, that makes his voice stand out more than ever.
