Hangman Adam Page is facing backlash after a selfie with controversial wrestler Marty Scurll went viral on social media late Wednesday night.
The photo, posted by Scurll on January 21, 2026, was captioned Handsome Devils reunited and immediately sparked backlash among wrestling fans due to Scurlls connection to unresolved allegations involving a 16-year-old during the #SpeakingOut movement in 2020.
While Page has long been seen as one of AEWs most principled stars, fans were quick to question his judgment and integrity for publicly reconnecting with his former Bullet Club ally. One fan took to Twitter and made it clear they will never consider Page a good person again.
Another fan drew a direct comparison to Hangmans feud with CM Punk, referencing Punks 2022 criticism of Pages morals and calling them prophetic: As always, Punk was right.
The situation escalated quickly, with fans calling Page out for hypocrisy and even calling on AEW President Tony Khan to take action and release him the same way they did to Trey Miguel.
The backlash wasnt limited to moral outragesome fans felt personally let down by Page, who has maintained a clean reputation throughout his AEW career.
