What many believed to be just another brutal spot in a triple threat match turned out to be much more for Moose.

The former TNA World Champion has now confirmed he did suffer a legitimate back injury during his January 17 showdown against Joe Hendry and Cedric Alexander at TNA Genesis 2026. The match, which aired as part of the companys return to pay-per-view, ended with Hendry getting the winwhile Mooses status remained uncertain until now.

In a social media post days after the event, Moose delivered the update himself:

While fans feared the worst, the 41-year-old did offer a reassuring note about his condition moving forward. Although still dealing with pain, Moose says hes ready for the companys next televised show:

During the Genesis match, Hendry repeatedly targeted Mooses lower backincluding a brutal spot where he launched him back-first onto the steel steps. Theres no confirmation on the exact moment the injury occurred, but Mooses history of back issues is no secret. He previously battled a similar injury following his match with Leon Slater at Slammiversary 2025.

For now, Moose appears committed to staying in action despite the setback.

Do you think Moose should take time off to fully heal, or is he right to push through the pain and represent TNA on AMC? Sound off in the comments below.
