The reported viewership for TNA Wrestlings big AMC debut on January 15, 2026 is suddenly being called into questionjust after the numbers were first cited by various outlets.
Earlier today it was reported that the premiere episode of TNA iMPACT! on AMC drew 95,000 viewers with a 0.04 rating in the key 1849 demographic, according to Programming Insider. The data immediately sparked debate, with many fans calling the figure surprisingly low for a show debuting on a far more widely distributed network than its previous home on AXS TV.
But now that number may not be accurate at all. In a correction posted to Twitter, Wrestlenomics issued an important clarification:
This update throws the previously reported 95,000 viewer figure into doubt, since the source in question never actually listed a P2+ numberthe standard metric for total viewership across all age groups. As of now, the only confirmed data for the episode is the 0.04 rating in the 1849 demographic.
Given the level of promotion TNAs AMC relaunch receivedand the fact that AMC reaches significantly more homes than AXSmany expected the premiere to draw a larger audience. But without a verified total viewership number, its impossible to say how well (or poorly) the debut actually performed on linear TV.
The episode itself featured major moments including Mike Santana reclaiming the TNA World Championship from Frankie Kazarian and the official debut of Cora Jade (now going by Elayna Black) aligning with Sonya Deville.
Until more accurate data emerges from Nielsen or another tracking service, any judgment on the success of TNAs AMC premiere will remain speculative.
