What should have been a celebratory moment for Pretty Boy Smooth quickly turned into another flashpoint in the ongoing rift between EC3 and the National Wrestling Alliance.
After Pretty Boy Smooth announced his new deal with the NWA by posting a signing photo with the caption, now the real work begins, EC3 dropped a comment that didnt go unnoticed.
But now, NWAs Bryan Idol has publicly clapped back. In a post to X/Twitter, Idol responded to EC3s comment and criticized the timing and tone of the message, saying it detracted from Pretty Boy Smooths milestone.
Since leaving the promotion, EC3 has repeatedly taken digs at its management and creative direction with messages that imply the company fails to maintain momentum.
While EC3 hasnt responded to Idols tweet, the friction adds to a story that has steadily simmered since EC3s departure. Given Idols tone, the NWA seems intent on defending its roster and signings from outside criticismeven when it comes from a former world champion.
Do you think EC3s comment was a fair critique or an unnecessary jab? And was Bryan Idol right to respond publicly? Share your take in the comments.
