The Rascalz debut on AEW Collision had fans hypeduntil one major question clouded the moment: Where is Trey Miguel?
While Zachary Wentz, Dezmond Xavier, and Myron Reed made their first AEW appearance together on the January 17, 2026 episode of Collision, Miguel was nowhere to be seen. He wasnt mentioned on commentary, didnt appear in any backstage segment, and even deleted AEW-related tweets, including one where he teased Coming soon.
That silence ended just a day later. On January 18, Trey Miguel posted a message to his Instagram Story that finally addressed his sudden absence from AEWand wrestling in general:
The message, simple and direct, confirms that Miguel is stepping away from the business entirely for now. While he didnt go into detail, the request for space suggests this break isnt about creative differences or contract issuesits personal.
Now, with Miguel officially stepping away, it appears AEW plans for The Rascalz will continue with Wentz, Xavier, and Reedfor now.
