On January 18, 2026, Twitter user Mohammed Mansour shared multiple photos of the in-progress stadium in the King Abdullah Financial District, where construction crews are racing to finish the venue in time for the January 31 premium live event. His update shows that things are moving fastand WWE is going big.
The images show major upgrades, including lighting towers and a large entrance area under development. From the looks of it, WWE is building a WrestleMania-level stagea visual statement to match their first international Royal Rumble.
Back on January 10, reports confirmed that WWE was constructing an entirely new stadium for the Rumble, a first in the companys history. The location didnt even exist yet when tickets went on salebut that didnt stop fans. Presale demand for the event shattered records, making it the most in-demand wrestling event to date, according to internal WWE projections.
With just under two weeks to go, all eyes are now on the site to see if WWE can pull off the impossibleand officially kick off the Road to WrestleMania 42 in truly epic fashion.
