Mustafa Ali may have picked up a big win at TNA Genesis, but he didnt leave unscathed.
Just hours after his chaotic match against Elijah, Ali took to Twitter on January 17, 2026 to reveal a brutal injury he suffered during the bouta completely torn-off toenail. Along with a close-up photo of his bloody toe, Ali posted a simple caption: So I think my toe nail is gone.
The tweet gave fans a grim peek behind the curtain following a match that already featured plenty of carnage. Alis bout with Elijah wasnt just physicalit was chaotic. With interference from The Great Hands, Tasha Steelz, and Agent Zero, the match spiraled into a ringside war before Ali stole the victory thanks to outside help. But while Ali walked away with the win, its clear he left some skinliterallyon the canvas.
Its unclear exactly when the injury happened, but given the high-impact offense on display, including Elijahs sit-out powerbomb and a top-rope tombstone attempt, its easy to see how a misstep could lead to serious damage.
