Zayda Steel just took a massive step forward in her wrestling career and she did it under the bright lights of AEW TV.
The former WWE NIL recruit and rising ROH star officially made her AEW television debut during the January 10, 2026 episode of AEW Collision. Steel walked to the ring alongside SkyFlight the faction consisting of Scorpio Sky and Top Flights Darius and Dante Martin to support them in their trios match against The Death Riders.
This moment wasnt just a cameo. It marked Steels transition from a respected ROH presence to the AEW spotlight, a platform that could skyrocket her visibility across the wrestling world. Her arrival comes in the wake of Leila Greys unfortunate injury, which opened a slot in SkyFlight.
Leila Grey suffered a torn ACL during her match against Mercedes Mon on AEW Collision in December. With Grey now sidelined indefinitely, Steel stepped in and shes not here to play background.
Steels connection to the group runs deep. It was her ROH debut in December that first put her on a collision course with Grey, leading to a competitive bout at Final Battle: Zero Hour. Grey picked up the win, but the match ended with a mutual show of respect that laid the foundation for Steels eventual place in the group.
Christopher Daniels confirmed Steels inclusion in SkyFlight earlier this week.
Shes in, Daniels said. Zaydas part of SkyFlight now. No hesitation. We move forward.
Steel wasted no time making her presence felt. In the Collision opener, SkyFlight faced off against The Death Riders PAC, Daniel Garcia, and Wheeler Yuta with AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley on commentary.
AEW Collision marks the first time Steel has appeared on AEW TV and the timing couldnt be more crucial. With Grey out and SkyFlight looking to maintain momentum, Zaydas TV debut signals a new era for the group and possibly a new chapter for her career.
