Elton Prince has finally broken his silence and the news is serious. After over seven months away from WWE television, the former NXT UK Tag Team Champion revealed that a terrifying in-ring injury led to a major neck surgery.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Prince explained the brutal moment that sidelined him back in May 2025 a routine bump gone horribly wrong.
What followed was a months-long nightmare of testing and uncertainty until WWE medical staff and the team at Hoag, led by Dr. Kanter, finally pinpointed the issue.
Prince expressed gratitude to fans who reached out during his absence and gave special thanks to his partner, WWE personality Kelly Kincaid, for supporting him through the ordeal.
Prince and Kit Wilson rose through the ranks in NXT UK, becoming Tag Team Champions in 2021 and later unifying the NXT and NXT UK Tag Titles at Worlds Collide in 2022. But after their last match together on the May 2, 2025 SmackDown (a loss to Axiom and Nathan Frazer), Prince quietly disappeared from TV until now, fans had no idea why.
In Princes absence, Kit Wilson has shifted to singles competition on SmackDown. Most recently, he competed against Matt Cardona on the January 2, 2026 episode in Buffalo, New York.
This neck surgery is no small setback, but Princes determination to return is loud and clear for his daughter, his tag partner, and everyone whos missed seeing him in action. Elton Princes road to recovery starts now, and WWE fans everywhere will be watching and waiting.
