Je Von Evans just signed with Monday Night RAW but fans watching on TV never saw it happen. Thats because WWE chose to air the contract signing during a commercial break, and now were learning that several people backstage were not happy about that decision.

On WrestleVotes Radio via Fightful Select, Joey Votes broke the news that some WWE talent and staff were confused about why such a big moment for Evans was pushed off television.

To be clear, this isnt believed to be a sign that WWE is souring on Evans. In fact, the report emphasized that the company still has high hopes for him. But that didnt stop the frustration over how this signing moment was handled.

Co-host TC chimed in to defend the move from a different perspective. According to him, WWE may have done this intentionally in hopes of creating a viral moment online instead of on TV. But even TC admitted the rollout may not have gone as WWE hoped.

If that wasnt enough, Joey pointed out another glaring issue the contract folder used during the segment wasnt even up to date.

WWE may have had good intentions, but backstage insiders clearly see this as a missed opportunity to spotlight one of their hottest new prospects. If the company is serious about making JeVon Evans a breakout star, theyll need to handle future moments with a bit more care.

Do you think WWE shouldve aired JeVon Evans signing on TV? Or was the digital-only move smart strategy? Drop your thoughts in the comments we want to hear from you.
