Stephanie Vaquers ankle injury is realbut fans worried she might have to give up her Womens World Championship can breathe a little easier.

After a ton of speculation following the brutal attack by Raquel Rodriguez on the January 5, 2026 episode of WWE RAW, a new report from PWInsider has clarified that while Vaquer is hurt, the injury wont sideline her long-term.

It was noted that Vaquer wasnt injured to the point that shell be forced to vacate her Womens World Title. There are talent who always deal with injuries, and WWE describes it as something thats very normal.

This comes after Fightfuls Sean Ross Sapp initially confirmed the injurys legitimacy on the Post-RAW show, adding, It is a legit injury. I was just told that the injury was legit, and I do not know the severity of it.

Sapp also pointed out that Vaquer being in a walking bootnot a full castand still participating in some physical segments on RAW is a good sign. WWE could potentially stretch her reign through the upcoming Royal Rumble and even into Elimination Chamber if her condition improves.

Vaquers emotional promo at Barclays Center, delivered in both English and Spanish, seemed like a farewell momentbut was cleverly used to set up Raquels vicious double attack, targeting her injured ankle with a steel chair and leaving her writhing in pain backstage. Michael Cole summed it up on commentary: Stephanie is hurt bad.

Stephanie Vaquer captured the Womens World Championship on September 20, 2025, defeating IYO SKY at Wrestlepalooza, and has held the gold for over 100 days. With this update, it looks like her reign might continueat least for now.
