HOOK is stepping into his first lead acting role as he films a new indie movie, showing a serious commitment to building his career beyond the wrestling ring.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, the former FTW Champion shared that hes seriously pursuing acting, and hes already made a major splash with his debut film. HOOK spoke openly about Money Talks, a short film he co-created with his college roommatewho also directed the project. The film made its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival this past summer and even landed on the Oscar long list for Best Live Action Short Film.

Despite the Oscar short list miss, HOOK is already on to the next projectand this time, hes stepping up as lead actor. HOOK explained that Money Talks is set in 1981 New York City on inauguration day, and follows the journey of a $100 bill as it changes hands.

While many wrestlers branch into Hollywood, HOOK noted that acting wasnt something his father Taz ever pursued, making this path a personal one. Even then, HOOK made it clear that wrestling is not taking a backseathes just expanding his passions.

HOOKs crossover into film isnt just a side projectits a full-on career move. With industry recognition already under his belt and a lead role ahead, the former FTW Champion is clearly planning to leave his mark in both wrestling and cinema.
