Dominik Mysterio suffered a shoulder injury last month, but he just got some very good newshe wont be out for long.
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the WWE Intercontinental Champion will not require surgery for his recent shoulder injuryand he could be back in just a few weeks.
This is a huge relief for fans after Mysterio was pulled from action following AAAs Guerra de Titanes on December 20. Doms injury happened during the final moments of a tag match, where a rough landing on his shoulder sparked concern that things might be more serious than originally believed.
That concern ramped up after Dominik was quietly removed from WWEs December 26 live event in Baltimore. He was set to team with Liv Morgan against Rey Mysterio and Rhea Ripley, but was pulled last-minute. Rey ended up wrestling Grayson Waller instead.
Then on the December 29 episode of RAW, fans got an officialbut vagueconfirmation. In a backstage Judgment Day segment, Liv Morgan casually said, Daddy Dom is out, while Joe Tessitore later confirmed he was off the active roster due to injury. WWE didnt provide further details at the time.
A report from Bodyslam.net offered a slightly more optimistic tone, saying Mysterio was in good spirits and WWE was just being cautious as he heals.
Dominik Mysterios shoulder injury couldve been far worsebut WWE fans got the best possible outcome. No surgery, a short recovery window, and a chance for Dom to rest up and return better than ever.
