Jon Moxleys dominant run in 2025 mightve looked effortless on screen, but behind the scenes, he was quietly battling through injuries all year long.
In a new interview with The Takedown, AEW president Tony Khan revealed that Moxley entered the year pretty hurt, but never once took time offand somehow got healthier as the year went on.
The AEW Continental Classic winner ended the year strong by defeating Kyle Fletcher and Kazuchika Okada at AEW Worlds End, essentially turning babyface after a long heel run. But Khan stated that Moxleys in-ring consistency and toughness made the win even more meaningful.
Moxley wrestled 53 televised matches in 202517 more than he did in 2024without a break. Khan compared him to old-school road warriors who worked hundreds of dates a year.
Moxleys 2025 now looks even more impressive in hindsightnot just for the championships and matches, but for the punishment he absorbed while never slowing down and fans feel he deserves all the respect in the world for it.
What do you think about Tony Khans revelation? Should AEW give Jon Moxley more rest in 2026, or is his never-stop attitude exactly what makes him special? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
