Seth Rollins may be working hard to return before WrestleMania, but new backstage reports suggest his road to the big event is far from certainand his originally planned match may already be scrapped.
In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that while Rollins is targeting a March return, the situation remains in flux. Rollins recently said hes expecting to be out for another three months, putting his comeback right around WrestleMania 42 weekend. But that doesnt mean hes guaranteed to be on the card. According to Meltzer:
The bigger reveal came in what WWE had reportedly planned before the injury. Meltzer noted that Rollins vs. Roman Reigns was penciled in as the main event for one of the WrestleMania nights, and it would have been a title match. Thats no longer the case.
In a recent interview on Mohr Stories, Rollins confirmed he tore his rotator cuff during a match with Cody Rhodes in Perth and underwent surgery nearly nine weeks ago. While hes keeping a positive mindset and hopes to be cleared by mid-to-late March, WWEs medical team will make the final calland creative plans are already shifting.
The big question now is whether Seth Rollins can get cleared in time and, if so, where hell fit on a WrestleMania card that seems to be locking in without him.
Should WWE find a spot for Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 42 even if hes not fully 100%? Or is it better to let him recover and wait? Let us know what you think in the comments.
