"I'd love to be a captain one day, but that ain't never going to happen," said Daly.

This year there was talk that Tiger Woods could be the captain, but the 49-year-old firmly rejected such an option, so the PGA of America gave Keegan Bradley a chance, who did not impress.
"Tiger would be an unbelievable captain," he added. "I would love to be a co-captain or just be a part of it somehow."

The leaders of the PGA of America are aware that the presence of figures such as Daly and Tiger Woods would give additional importance and motivation to this team, and would further arouse interest in the Ryder Cup.
"I'd love to see it, put my input in, and hopefully help the guys," he said. "I think it'd be an experience for me that I've always dreamed of doing ever since I won the PGA Championship in 1991."

The next edition will be held in Ireland, and the American team will have a much tougher task, but Daly hopes to be able to be there as part of the team and help Team America.
