A new documentary focused on wrestling icon Hulk Hogan is officially in the works at Netflix, and its coming with rare, intimate footage filmed just before his passing.

Netflixs Vice President of Sports, Gabe Spitzer, broke the news while speaking to The Varsitys John Ourand about the platforms sports documentary lineup. During the conversation, Spitzer casually dropped the bombshell:

Hogan passed away in July 2025, and this upcoming project is expected to feature never-before-seen footage captured in the final months of his life. Spitzer noted that Netflix is becoming more selective with its documentary projects amid the surge in follow-doc content, but Hogans story made the cutalongside other high-profile names like Mike Tyson and Deion Sanders.

This Hogan documentary will join Netflixs growing collection of wrestling-related content. The streamer is already the exclusive U.S. home for WWE Raw starting in 2025, and is currently hosting the Vince McMahon docuseries, which dives deep into the rise and chaos behind WWEs most controversial figure.

No release date has been set yet, but the mention of 20 hours of footage filmed with Hogan shortly before his passing hints at a deeply personal portrait of the man behind the mustache.
