Blake Monroe isnt letting a botched finish stop her from reminding fans she was the NXT Womens North American Champion.
The former NXT Womens North American Champion took to her Instagram and uploaded a pair of throwback photos of herself in a white bikini. Monroe is seen sitting on a swing in a white bikini surrounded by greenery while she was still the champion, showing off calm vibes, but her caption told a different story as she included a heartbreak emoji,
The single heartbreak emoji was enough to tell fans how shes really feeling about the title loss, which came after a miscommunication during the December 16 match with Hail.
As reported earlier, the ending wasnt supposed to go down that way. Hail landed a senton that likely bruised Monroes ribs, then immediately went for the pin. Still early in her career, Hail didnt realize Monroe needed time to recover. The referee, following WWEs call it like its real rule, counted the fall anyway.
Earlier this week, Blake Monroe also shared a photo on Twitter showing KT tape wrapped around her ribsseemingly confirming the injury during the match.
Now, WWE may be scrambling to course-correct. According to Fightful Select,officials are already discussing a rematch between Monroe and Hail and NXT New Years Evil looks like the likely landing spot.
Whether shes back in the title picture or not, Monroes latest set of photos says it all: she hasnt moved on from the lossand shes not ready to let fans forget it either.
