Wrestling legend Jimmy Hart is finally reunited with his iconic megaphone after it was mysteriously stolen during WrestleCade weekend and just in time for Christmas.
The 81-year-old WWE Hall of Famer was attending WrestleCade in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, on November 29 when his famous red-and-white megaphone vanished. The incident set off an online uproar, with fans calling the theft pathetic and demanding justice, even as Hart himself chose not to press charges.
WrestleCade promptly addressed the situation with a public plea on social media, noting that the venue had high-definition security cameras and that police would review the footage if the item wasnt returned.
Weeks passed with no updates until December 20, when Jimmy Hart stunned fans with some unexpected good news. In a video posted by WrestleCade, Hart held up the very megaphone that had been stolen and delivered an emotional thank-you to those who helped recover it.
The megaphone, a staple of Harts wrestling persona since his days managing Hulk Hogan, The Honky Tonk Man, and Bret Hart in the 1980s, was more than just a prop it was a piece of pro wrestling history.
While its still unclear who took it or how it found its way back to Hart, one thing is certain: fans are relieved the story has a happy ending. And despite Harts forgiveness, the wrestling world isnt letting the culprit off the hook that easily.
What do you think about how this situation was handled? Should the thief still be identified or is Jimmy Harts forgiveness enough? Drop your thoughts in the comments we want to hear from you.
