Elena Rybakina acknowledges she is not the person who likes to show positive or negative emotions, but admits she absolutely feels everything "inside" her during matches.

If you can recall, Rybakina's reaction to becoming a Grand Slam champion at 2022 Wimbledon went viral. Moments after completing a three-set comeback win over Ons Jabeur, the Kazakh tennis star celebrated with a fist bump - went to the net to shake Jabeur's hand - and then simply sat on her bench waiting for the trophy ceremony to start.

Since then, a lot has been said about Rybakina's calm and reserved personality, and some even called on the world No. 5 to "show more emotions." However, the 26-year-old has stayed true to her real personality and nothing has changed in that department.

Rybakina: I don't show good or negative on the court... But I feel a lot of emotions

"I'm generally a calm person. On the court, you can see that I don't have many emotions... If something goes wrong, I will not show it. Even if it is good, I'm not going to scream, 'Come on,' or some other things. But, inside of course, there are a lot of emotions and nerves, and everything..." the 26-year-old said during a podcast appearance.

The first part of the 2025 season was pretty turbulent for Rybakina, who was left by Goran Ivanisevic after just two tournaments together, and Stefano Vukov was banned from coaching her for the first eight months. After Vukov was reinstated, the Kazakh started to perform better and she won Ningbo and the WTA Finals, as well as returned to the top-10.
