The 2026 Royal Rumble is set to make WWE history by taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and now, after some internal discussion, the official start time for the global event has finally been locked in.
According to WrestleVotes via Fightful Select, WWE has settled on a 2 PM ET start time for the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event. The news comes after what was described as some internal back and forth about when the show should air, given the international time zone differences and its importance on the WWE calendar.
The earlier-than-usual kickoff means fans in North America will need to adjust their viewing plans, as WWE continues to expand its international Premium Live Event footprint. With the show airing live from Saudi Arabia, this will be the first Royal Rumble ever held outside of North America a major move for one of the companys most iconic events.
As previously reported, WWE is currently planning a four-match card, with only the two Rumble matches and two (still unfinalized) title bouts expected for the lineup. Despite the lean card, WWE is clearly banking on global spectacle and the prestige of the Royal Rumble brand to deliver a blockbuster night.
As a reminder, Ringside News will have like play-by-play coverage of the event.
Will the 2 PM ET start time help grow WWEs global viewership or will it clash with fan expectations back home? Sound off in the comments and tell us how youre feeling about the early bell time for Royal Rumble 2026.
