After ending the career of one of WWEs most iconic figures, Gunther isnt just bragging hes owning the moment and everything that comes with it.
During his TMZ Inside the Ring interview, the Intercontinental Champion-turned-legend killer was asked whether the WWE Universe will remember John Cenas farewell, or the fact that Gunther made him tap out in the most shocking moment of the year. Gunther didnt flinch.
But with bragging rights comes pressure. Gunther knows that this victory isnt just a win its a legacy-altering moment. Thats why comparisons to Brock Lesnar ending The Undertakers streak at WrestleMania are starting to follow him. And Gunther isnt running from that either.
Now that the smoke has cleared, Gunther admits the real challenge is just beginning.
Gunther just made WWE history. But instead of basking in the moment, hes already planning how to back it up because now the spotlight isnt just on what he did to John Cena its on what he does next.
