John Cena wrestled his final match, as he finally gave up. GUNTHER was the man who made that tap out happen after nearly five minutes of sleeper hold drama in the final match of Saturday Nights Main Event. This was a big match for GUNTHER, and hes still living with the aftermath.
GUNTHER was told to get lost when he showed up at WWE RAW this week to cut a promo. That promo also included him saying that Cena tapped out like a little bitch. So, there is a bit of heat on the Ring General.
Gunther addressed questions about locker room support during a recent appearance on TMZ Inside The Ring. The discussion came amid backlash over how John Cenas career ended and whether that situation left Gunther isolated backstage.
Triple H also received a ton of backlash, and so did GUNTHER. He spoke about that, as he said, To be honest, I kind of like disappeared. I didnt really speak to many people because yeah just sometimes when the damage is done, you leave and you dont take a bath in it anymore. I took that bath in it on Monday. And yeah, I havent really been around after the match.
We will have to see what GUNTHER does next in WWE. He also retired Goldberg this year, but he didnt get nearly as much heat as he did by making the Greatest of All Time tap out. Only time will tell how he uses that heat and momentum to continue his domination of the roster, whether they like it or not.
