Raquel Rodriguez has been placed in concussion protocol following a very nasty spot during the December 15th episode of Monday Night Raw.
During the Womens World Title match, Nikki Bella made a shocking return and wreaked havoc. She blindsided both Stephanie Vaquer and Raquel Rodriguez, completely ruining the main event. The most brutal moment came when Nikki launched Raquel head-first into the steel steps a violent spot that left Raquel visibly shaken and with a huge knot on her head.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez revealed what went down behind the scenes after the cameras cut away. He noted that Raquel was placed in concussion protocol.
While theres no confirmed diagnosis of an actual concussion, being placed in protocol means Raquel will be monitored closely and wont be cleared until she passes all necessary evaluations. Its a precaution WWE takes seriously especially with a star as physical as Raquel.
For now, Raquels return to action is up in the air but fans are hoping this is just a precaution, not a long-term setback, especially since shes clearly involved in a big feud with both Nikki Bella and Raquel Rodriguez.
