John Cenas final wrestling match is still sparking major controversy and WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett just unloaded on the way it ended.
On the latest episode of his My World podcast, Jarrett went scorched earth over WWEs decision to have Cena tap out to Gunther in his farewell bout at Saturday Nights Main Event. In Jarretts words, It was the single dumbest finish in the history of the business. Jarrett wasnt subtle about where he stands on the long-held tradition of veterans going out on their back.
He also blasted WWE for devaluing its biggest draw, pointing out how fans paid top dollar just to see Cena not the undercard, not the brand. For Jarrett, the biggest problem wasnt just the loss it was the way it clashed with Cenas entire legacy.
Jarrett even suggested that the post-match heat missed its mark entirely.
This wasnt just a typical shoot Jarrett made it clear he sees this as a fundamental creative failure.
