Victoria Mboko's coach Nathalie Tauziat reveals she is a big admirer of Coco Gauff as she likes the American's "mentality" and enjoyed watching how the world No. 3 pulled off a French Open final win over Aryna Sabalenka.

After being routed by Iga Swiatek in her first Grand Slam final at the 2022 French Open, Gauff made her second title match at Roland Garros this year. Once again, it didn't start well for the American - but this time she found a way out - and completed a 6-7 (5) 6-2 6-4 comeback win over world No. 1 Sabalenka in very tricky and windy conditions.

Tauziat, a former eight-time WTA champion from France, also shared that she was a fan of Emma Navarro and Jasmine Paolini.

"I like the mentality of Coco Gauff. She is a fighter on the court. I saw her final at the French Open, she played really intelligently. I dont know Emma Navarro personally, but I like her game she can do everything. Also, Jasmine Paolini, I like her temper. I enjoy watching a lot of players," Tauziat told CLAY.

Tauziat on what she likes about Mboko

Mboko made all the headlines in early August when she was a wildcard ranked outside the top-80 and became a WTA 1000 champion in Montreal. It wasn't only the first WTA 1000 title for the Canadian, but also her first WTA title on the Tour. Since then, the 19-year-old lifted her second WTA crown in Hong Kong and finished the year at a career-high ranking of No. 18 in the world.

According to Tauziat, Mboko is a very comfortable person to be around.

"Nice person, very calm, I would say. Victoria keeps her feet firmly on the ground. She enjoys what she does, but does it at her own pace. Really serene," the French coach said.

In the same interview, Tauziat also admitted that she didn't expect Mboko to win Montreal.
