Novak Djokovic is set to tie Roger Federer and Feliciano Lopez for the most Grand Slam singles appearances at the Open Era when he kicks off his Australian Open campaign in January.
In January 2005, an 18-year-old Djokovic made his Grand Slam main-draw debut after winning three Australian Open qualifying matches before losing to former world No. 1 Marat Safin. Since then, the Serbian tennis star has made 79 more Major appearances and won a record 24 titles.
When it specifically comes to the Australian Open, Djokovic has played 20 times at Melbourne Park and owns a record 10 titles.
Since the 38-year-old is guaranteed to play at least one more full season on the Tour in 2026, he will very likely become the player with the most Grand Slam singles appearances at the French Open.

Djokovic aims to win a record 25th Majorin 2025
After losing four Grand Slam semifinals in 2025 and not winning a Major since 2023, the current world No. 4 hopes to find a way to challenge Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner in 2026, and possibly become the first player ever with 25 Slam singles titles.
"I'm going to do my very best to get my body in shape to sustain that level and rhythm for as many hours as it's needed, but it wasn't enough. That's something, unfortunately, at this point in my career, I can't control. I can do only as much as I can do. It will be very difficult for me in the future to overcome the hurdle of Sinner or Alcaraz, in the best-of-five on the Slams. I think I have a better chance in best-of-three, but in best-of-five, it's tough," Djokovic admitted after hissemifinal loss to Alcaraz at Flushing Meadows.
