John Cena may have wrestled his final match at Saturday Nights Main Event, but CM Punk made one thing clear during the post-show: hes not going anywhere.
While speaking on the panel following Cenas retirement match against GUNTHER, Big E brought up the topic of career endings and asked Punk if he envisioned a similar sendoff someday. Punk didnt dodge the questionbut he didnt sugarcoat his answer either.
He admitted that hes more than aware of the years behind himbut made it clear that hes still in it for the long haul.
Then the WWE World Heavyweight Champion reminded everyone why hes still at the top of the card.
And for anyone hoping hed be the next to go? Punk made it clear hes not retiring anytime soon and took shots at anyone whod be upset by that.
Cenas emotional sendoff closed a 23-year WWE career in front of a sold-out Capital One Arena crowd in Washington, D.C. But in Punks eyes, the time for farewells hasnt arrivedand hes not interested in making fans comfortable about that either.
