In a twist to an already messy contract drama, Andrade revealed during an interview with Riju Dasgupta that hes officially stepping back into the ring on December 13 for WWC Lockout in Puerto Rico. This return comes while his 12-month non-compete clause with WWE is technically still active. But thanks to a last-minute legal green light, Andrade says hes free to competeand hes fired up for the opportunity. When asked about his status, the Mexican star made it clear he is just happy to be wrestling again.
Andrade said he was sidelined for three months due to legal red tape stemming from the infamous non-compete clause WWE enforced after his controversial release. But now? Hes got the letterand hes making the most of it.
The WWC Lockout event will see Andrade challenge Xavant for the Universal Heavyweight Championship at the Pepin Cestero Arena. Its his first match backand a big one.
The former champ, who has openly battled legal troubles, personal heartbreak, and contract headaches, showed nothing but gratitude and excitement to finally be back doing what he loves.
