Saraya has never shied away from talking about her strugglesand now, shes pulling back the curtain on one of the worst fan encounters of her life.
Speaking on her Rulebreakers podcast, the former WWE star opened up about being viciously body-shamed after gaining weight post-breakup. But things went way beyond keyboard trolls. Saraya said after leaving a toxic relationship, she turned to fast food and beer to copegaining weight in the process. But instead of empathy, she was bombarded with abuse.
It didnt stop at online hate. Saraya shared that while exiting an arena one night, a so-called fan crossed a serious linephysically. He ended up shoving his hand through her car window and pie-faced her, telling her to lose weight.
Saraya said she was shocked by the attack and thankful she wasnt alone. The incident is simply a disturbing reminder of how extreme fan entitlement can become, especially when it comes to policing womens bodies in wrestling.
Despite everything, Saraya continues to speak out and fight back against toxic treatment from fans. Her bravery in sharing this story shows just how much work still needs to be done to create safe spaces for performers outside the ring.
