Eddie Kingston is heading into AEW Dynamite: Winter Is Coming with a World Title shot against Samoa Joe but if you think hes stressing about the outcome, think again.
Speaking with Gabby AF, Kingston made it crystal clear that whether he wins or loses the AEW World Championship on December 10, hes already thinking long-term and his long-term plan does not involve wrestling forever.
Kingston revealed he has six years left on his AEW contract and once its up, hes done with professional wrestling for good.
And when he says hes disappearing, he means disappearing all the way to Alaska, where he wants nothing but peace, cold weather, and access to his favorite teams.
With Kingston openly stating hes not concerned about the result of his match with Samoa Joe and revealing his retirement timeline this upcoming title bout now feels less like a must-win moment and more like another chapter in the unfiltered, brutally honest career of a man who has always done things his own way.
Whether he walks out of Winter Is Coming as AEW World Champion or not, Kingstons future is already set make his money, finish his contract, then vanish into the Alaskan wilderness.
