Santos Escobar might not be on WWE television right now, but its not because hes been forgotten.

According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, Escobar signed a huge new WWE contract last monthand WWE is intentionally keeping him off TV until they have a meaningful creative plan ready. Alvarez explained the companys mindset behind the delay and said WWE has no interest in wasting money on someone theyre not ready to spotlight.

Escobar reportedly had one specific request before re-signing: a personal meeting with Triple H to go over his future direction. WWE agreed, and the deal was made. Now theyre just finalizing the right storyline to fit the investment.

And make no mistakeSantos is sitting pretty. Alvarez noted that Escobar isnt sweating the wait thanks to the money WWE is paying him.

Escobars contract officially expired on October 6, but he re-signed just a couple of days later. Hes been quiet since, aside from a cryptic post where he simply wrote: Waiting patiently.

WWE clearly has something in the works, but Escobar fans may need to hang tight just a little longer before seeing him back in action.
