Emma Raducanu has made an addition to her team ahead of the 2026 season as British media is reporting that the world No. 29 has hired physio Emma Stewart.

When preparing for the 2025 season, Raducanu put a lot of emphasis on getting stronger physically. To prove she wasn't joking, the 2021 US Open champion started collaborating with fitness coach Yutaka Nakamura, who famously worked with Maria Sharapova. While the Briton showed some improvement in the physical department under the guidance of Nakamura, their partnership ended midway through 2025.

Now, Raducanu has addressed that by hiring Stewart, who has worked with several players on the Tour. Also, Stewart has worked outside of tennis - she was widely praised for her job done with the British men's rowing team.

Raducanu has a strong team going into 2026

In August, Raducanu made a splash move when she hired Rafael Nadal's ex-coach of 17 years - Francisco Roig. When explaining why she went for Roig, the 23-year-old very directly said that her goal was to improve to the point where she could legitimately challenge the best in the game.

"He's obviously got a bank of experience and I'm very excited to continue working with him and to have him on my side... I'm working on the quality of my shots to be better. I think against the very top, that's what it needs, it needs to improve. So I'm hoping with time, I'm pretty patient, I'm going to try and be pretty patient, that it will improve," the Briton said after hiring Nadal's ex-coach Roig.

Meanwhile, the world No. 29 had a rough ending to 2025 after being struck by illness but also certain injuries. After ending her season in mid-October, she took some time for herself to rest and recover.

Now that Raducanu has a new physio, she will certainly try to put in some hard work and look to enter the new season as fit as possible.
