Jack Draper confirms he is progressing nicely in his recovery and insists he is very excited about returning to action at the UTS and experiencing action for the first time in months.
If you can recall, Draper was diagnosed with a bone bruise in his arm after exiting Wimbledon in the second round. The initial diagnosis didn't suggest that it was anything too serious and the world No. 10 attempted to return to action at the US Open. That one didn't go well since the 23-year-old had to pull out from his second-round match after realizing during the opening match that his arm was all but ready for competitive action. He didn't play any tournaments in the rest of the season.

In one of his recent interviews, Draper said that he was probably misdiagnosed when his arm injury was first discovered. And that's when he decided to return only when he felt he was 100 percent healthy.
Barring a setback, Draper will make a comeback at the upcoming UTS event, slated to take place in London between December 5-7.
Draper: Playing the UTS before the 2026 season will be very important for me
"I think I came back a bit too soon when I played the US Open so after that I decided to really shut it down and look after it. And now I'm building up my confidence and building up my tennis to be at full throttle again," Draper told UTS.
"It's a chance to compete, also a chance to play the world's best players again. I think when you have time out the game, it's really important to sort of get on their speed again. Having the opportunity to play before the coming season is important, I think, and really importantly for me, playing in front of my home crowd, playing at the UTS in London, playing at the Copper Box Arena, I haven't played there before, so I'm looking forward to that."

In his opening UTS match, Draper will take on David Goffin. For the reigning Indian Wells Masters champion, the most important thing in London will be to avoid any setbacks and play out the event without feeling any pain or discomfort in his arm.
