In an interview for the Golf Channel podcast, Rex Hoggard stressed that there were many things that surprised him, most of all the fact that the PGA and LIV did not reach a final agreement. Hoggard noted that the President of the USA Donald Trump did everything and made every effort to reach an agreement and it seemed that they were on the right track.
As a big golf fan, he wanted the chaotic situation to be a thing of the past, but it seemed that neither side respected its wordsnor wanted to allow the other side to 'come out victorious'.
It is clear that there are some insurmountable obstacles and that neither side is willing to compromise.

According to Rex Hoggard, the two warring parties have not spoken since the second meeting at the White House, and although he could have expected a scenario where a final deal would not be reached, he did not expect that they would not speak after everything.
