Another legendary tag team is officially calling it a career. The HeadbangersMosh and Thrasherhave confirmed that their run as an in-ring duo will end next year, closing the book on a 33-year journey that started in the early 90s and left a permanent imprint on WWEs Attitude Era.
In a video posted to Instagram, the former WWE Tag Team Champions shared that their final match will take place on July 23, 2026, at ISPW Legends of Wrestling Night at the Wildwoods Convention Center in Wildwood, New Jersey. Reflecting on their run, they shared laughs, memories, and even left the door cracked for a surprise comeback if the right opportunity came along.
The Headbangers WWE legacy was cemented when they captured the WWE Tag Team Championship at In Your House: Ground Zero in 1997. With their punk rock look, high-energy style, and unfiltered attitude, Mosh and Thrasher became cult favorites. Their momentum was temporarily halted in 1999 when Thrasher suffered a serious knee injury, which led Mosh into a bizarre solo stint as Beaver Cleavage, and later simply Chaz.
Despite those twists, the duo eventually reunited and continued wrestling together until their WWE departure in the fall of 2000. They briefly resurfaced in 2016 during WWEs SmackDown Tag Team Championship tournament, where they were eliminated in the first round by Heath Slater and Rhyno.
Fans who followed them from the early Raw Is War days will now get one final chance to see the face-painted rebels throw down one last time.
