Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler are the absolute rulers of the golf scene. Looking back at the last two years, it seems that it is difficult for anyone to stop them, although Xander Schauffele and several other golfers have shown their qualities. Fans also remember Hideki Matsuyama's victory at the Masters four years ago with nostalgia.
Although he has not won major trophies in recent years, Matsuyama is still inscribed with a golden letter in the history of golf, as he is one of the most consistent golfers.
Xander Schauffele, speaking to the media, just reflected on Matsuyama's performance at Augusta National, considering that he played an incredible tournament, but was especially delighted with his short game.
Schauffele was impressed with how focused and consistent he was in that tournament, as well as how he was able to adapt to the conditions.

When I played with Hideki at The Masters, he did some spooky chips. To like tap in range that I dont think people appreciated that much, when he won.
He was in some weird spots. Augusta is about hitting it in the right spot and then you leave yourself a chance to get up and down. You dont have to hit it.but there was like three or four holes on the back nine where he like, absolutely stoned it. And I know its wet, and so its wet you have to play it a little differently but hes almost just chipping in and Im like Damn.- he said, as quoted by The Golfing Gazette.

Matsuyama's future
It is difficult to say whether Matsuyama will possibly win any more Majors in the coming years. His desires are great, and he is aware that he has the qualities that can help him win trophies in tournaments like these.
