Elena Rybakina declares herself "a very calm person" and highlights that she always tries to remain positive, but admits that letting out the frustration in certain moments may actually help her.

Everything about Rybakina's on-court demeanor and personality is well-documented. Most of the time, the Kazakh tennis star barely reacts to anything - it doesn't matter if it is a positive or a negative situation for her on the court. If you can recall, she went viral with her basic fist-bump celebrated after becoming a Grand Slam champion at Wimbledon in 2022.

In some of her past interviews, Rybakina noted that she certainly "feels emotions" on the court, but just doesn't show them. However, nothing has changed in the world No. 5's on-court demeanor as she still goes about her business as she has done since the start of her career.

Rybakina: I'm a very calm person so it's not that hard for me to hold back my emotions

"I'm generally a very calm person, so it's not that hard for me to hold back. But there are times when if I let my emotions out, it would be easier. So it depends on the situation: in some situations, these emotions can help you; you let them out and continue playing. In other situations, if you let them out, some negativity will remain, and that will affect the game," the 26-year-old told Informburo.

Also, Rybakina suggested that if she panicked on the court, her rival could sense it and use it to her advantage.

"In any case, I try to think positively, although this can be difficult in certain situations. At the same time, I try not to show too much emotion, especially if it's negative. And that includes my opponent..." the Kazakh added.
