Lance Anoai parted ways with WWE last month after a series of injuries marred his run there and now Lance has clarified that he was actually released.
While speaking to MuscleManMalcolm, Lance Anoai explained that his WWE exit wasnt a case of his contract expiring; he still had two years left, but the company chose to release him.
Lance said he felt fortunate for the time he spent there and learned a lot, but injuries worked against him and ultimately affected his career. Once he got the call, he knew he had to get back to working hard outside the company.
When asked if he faced any backlash during his time in WWE, especially because of his injuries, he said the setbacks were the main reason things didnt work out. Back-to-back injuries made him more expensive to keep than he was able to contribute in the ring.
His first week at the Performance Center, he suffered a sports hernia, then after briefly being cleared, he tore his shoulder. Even though he was cleared again at the end of September, he was released in October.
Lance made it clear that there was no negativity from WWE toward him; everyone supported him and hoped hed recover, but circumstances simply worked against him.
Lance Anoais time in WWE ended sooner than he hoped, but hes choosing to look at it as motivation instead of a setback. Even though injuries got in the way, hes still grateful for what he learned and ready to keep moving forward. So well have to see what the future holds for the Bloodline family member.
Did WWE give up on Lance Anoai too soon due to injury, or was it the right business move? Sound off in the comments.
