
Jannik Sinner's rise at the ATP Finals has officially crossed from impressive to historic. With a flawless title run at home in Turin for the second straight time, the 24-year-old extended his winning streak at the season-ending event to 20 straight sets.
Thus, the San Candido native leapfrogged two legends - Roger Federer and Pete Sampras, who ended their ATP Finals streaks at 16 straight sets. Sinner wrote the history at the premium event, becoming only the second player with back-to-back titles without losing a set.
His 20-set masterpiece now places him just behind Ivan Lendl, who won a remarkable 24 sets in a row between 1985 and 1987. He is the only man left to catch, as Jannik continues to add historic layers to his young career, especially indoor.
